Fact check: Has legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra passed away?

After Indian media’s irresponsible reporting, Esha Deol has denied the reports regarding the death of her father, famed Bollywood legend Dharmendra.

Earlier, reports claimed that he breathed his last at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, where he had been receiving treatment for age-related health complications.

Dharmendra’s wife, renowned actress Hema Malini, and their sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol were by his side during his final moments, the reports had claimed.

The actor is getting stable

In a social media post, Esha confirmed that Dharmendra is recovering and in stable condition.

Born on December 8, 1935, in Ludhiana, Punjab, Dharmendra Singh Deol rose from a humble background to become one of Bollywood’s most admired and successful actors.

Over a career spanning six decades, he appeared in more than 300 films, leaving an indelible mark on Indian cinema with his powerful performances, magnetic screen presence, and heartfelt expressions.

His timeless movies include classics such as “Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Phool Aur Patthar, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Seeta Aur Geeta, and Dream Girl”. These films established him as a household name and a pillar of Indian film history.

Dharmendra’s on-screen partnership with Hema Malini became one of Bollywood’s most cherished pairings, eventually blossoming into real-life marriage in 1980. Together, they remained one of the industry’s most admired couples.
