Ex-spymaster Faiz Hameed brought Imran Khan to power, says Khawaja Asif.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that PTI founder Imran Khan and ex-spymaster Faiz Hameed were involved in all matters.
Addressing the media outside the Parliament House, Khawaja Asif said that Faiz Hameed was on the front among those people who brought former Prime Minister Imran Khan to power.
Imran-Faiz partnership
The Imran-Faiz partnership started before the 2018 elections and remained intact on May 9. If evidence emerges, the situation may take different turns.
Khawaja Asif said that in the 2018 elections, PTI received full support, with Faiz Hameed playing a role in the Senate Chairman and other elections.
He maintained that time will show how political opponents were tortured and looted.

He also mentioned that many civilians were tried under military courts during the PTI government, asking why PTI leaders do not address the martyrdom of security personnel.
He added that during the PTI era, opponents were imprisoned, fake cases were fabricated against them and their families, and corruption took place with a major business tycoon involving PTI’s founder and his wife.
Differences within PTI
Earlier, in Parliament, Khawaja Asif commented that there were differences within PTI, with various statements being made.
He noted that Bushra Bibi claimed her people had abandoned her, yet she was with them when PTI members fled D Chowk.
Khawaja Asif also mentioned that Ali Amin Gandapur’s guards fired on their workers, and government employees and policemen in plain clothes were brought from KP.
He highlighted that the Chief Minister of KP is responsible for maintaining peace in his province, yet he left it to launch an attack on Islamabad, which failed for the third time.
The Defence Minister further stated that PTI had started playing the provincial card. He reminded me that 10 years ago, PTI’s founder had called for civil disobedience, which was not heeded by anyone.
He added that no Pakistani today would deny paying utility bills, nor would overseas Pakistanis stop sending money to their families.
