It is no denying the fact that health is wealth. Every sort of luxuriousness becomes useless if there is no healthy life. It is really a blessing in disguise that one can buy anything in the world except health as it is the most expensive and natural gift of God and one cannot retains it by oneself once it vanishes away naturally. If we turn back some old pages of History and glance at the lifestyle of people in the 1980s, and 1090s, we would realize the importance of Desi, pure and Hygienic Food, it was a golden era when old aged people looked young and enjoyed life in full swing despite the Age Count factor.
Regretfully, Life in every age has lost its glory in contemporary society. The impending cloud of fast and junk foods has badly affected human life, belonging to all ages. The alarming increase in the tradition of food streets, offering spicy and flavored foods, left no stone unturned in diminishing the health of the common man in Pakistan. Nowadays, the most demanding dish among the youth is Burger. It consists of a piece of Bread and spicy chicken which hardly provide the calories of a proper meal a day. On another hand, for the Zinger burger, Roast Beef Burgers, and Pizza, the roll is mostly liked by people especially teen ages due to its various flavors, colors, and tastes. But it is really harmful to health as it becomes heavy for digestion and the heart due to the fact that various toxic chemicals are being used for giving taste and flavors besides spicy.
It increases the risk of obesity, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, and various cardiovascular conditions. In addition to it, most fast food is high in sugar, salt, saturated fat, trans fats, processed ingredients, and calories. It also triggers digestive problems.
Not last but least, Natural food like vegetables, white or red meat, olive oil, and mustard oil was highly useful for human health in the old times without any mixing and alteration. Such food was known as Desi Food like the Desi dish of Punjabi, Sindhi, and Balouch people. The Secret of Healthy life as witnessed by history was getting up early in the morning, doing regular exercise, taking pure food, drinking lightly, going to the workplace at noon, and taking light food in the form of apples or salads. Such a diet was really the secret of a Healthy lifestyle; it was full of the essential nutrition that is the real food for vital organs of the human body. Being an Underdeveloped country, Pakistan is already lagging behind in the health sector.
The health of Pakistanis is already at a stake due to sub-standard food, unclean water, and an increasingly polluted atmosphere. Such a Culture of junk and fast foods has added fuel to fire. The ratio of Diabetics, cardio, and Hypertension disease is increasing at an alarming rate in middle-aged people. The Youth is not excluded from the effects of such deadly diseases. An alarming bell around the health consciousness has rung in Pakistan.
it goes without saying that Desi Foods are only the secret to a healthy life. It includes Chickpeas, pulses, daal, Nihari, Paya, Daal chawal, Saag, and salads. It is the need of the hour that the awareness program should be arranged among the masses to save the life of people. Healthy food is as important as water for human life. It is high time health consultants should render their meritorious services regarding healthy life style for sake of humanity on social media.
