Sindh fully prepared to launch historic Thar desert safari train

Sindh is fully prepared to launch the historic Thar desert safari train.

The Sindh government is fully ready to launch the Thar Desert Safari Train to promote tourism.

According to the Department of Culture and Tourism, this special safari train will depart from Karachi on February 8.

Minister for Culture and Tourism Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah will inaugurate the Thar Desert Safari Train.

The train will travel from Karachi through Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, and Chhor to reach the Parchee Ji Veri Resort, where accommodation arrangements have been made for passengers.

According to Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, this safari train will allow passengers to explore Sindh’s historical and ancient tourist sites.

He stated that plans are being made to operate this safari train on a permanent basis to further promote tourism.

In the first phase, a trial train will depart from Karachi on February 7, followed by the official launch of the safari train on February 8.

The Thar Desert, also known as the Great Indian Desert, is an arid region in the north-western part of the Indian subcontinent that covers an area of 200,000 km² in India and Pakistan.

It is the world’s 18th-largest desert, and the world’s 9th-largest hot subtropical desert.
