The The splendor of Urs of Pir Sabir Shah Baba ended as the insurgency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa starts and the splendors of Great Urs not restored fully yet.

Tank is also my [author] native area.

I had also saw my elders talking about the Grand Urs of Pir Sabir Shah Baba and sometimes tears come of my eyes when I listen that how the terrorism affect my beautiful native city.

Shrine of Mama Pir Ziarat

Socond popular Shrine is Mama Pir Ziarat which is located near Umar Adda and a number of devotees visiting the Shrine of Mama Pir. The Urs of Mama Pir also organized annually but it’s splendor were less than the shrine of Pir Sabir Shah Baba.

Nawab Qilla

Nawab Qilla is a mud fort built most probably by Nawab Katal Khan Kattikhel of Tank with views over an area of more than two hundred Kanals of land.

The Qilla is situated at one corner of Tank city and that is the imaginary line-dividing Tank in to upper and lower part.

The mud walls are several feet high approximately equal to a modern-day three-story building.

Huge trunks of trees can be seen poking out from the walls of Qilla. These were used to give strength and stability to the mud walls.

There were four huge Burgs at each corner of the Qilla with several intervening pickets at regular distance all around.

The four main burgs were used as an entrance for armed men who could move around and reach guard posts from within the Qilla without being seen from outside.

The Qilla had three gigantic gates. The diameter or thickness of the wall from the top was initially equal to so that a Tanga (Horse Cart) could easily move over it.

The residence of Nawab’s grand and great-grand children were in the center of Qilla till now.

I had also met with the great-grandson of Nawab Qutub Khan, Nawabzada Wahab Khan and he also aprrised me about the furniture of the Qilla which was came from United Kingdom (UK)

Nawab Bagh

The Nawab Bagh was situated at the back of Nawab Qilla, spread over an area of more than five hundred Kanals of land.

This bagh was well looked after before, during Nawab Qasim Khan time and perhaps in the early days of Qutubuddin Khan.

Nawab Qutbuddin Khan had kept large herd of buffalos, cows and it was not unusual to see a herd of two hundred or more buffalos, cows moving toward Nawab Qilla every day.

Nawab bagh as said before even in the sixties was deserted, has now completely disappeared as the land was sold by Qutbuddin s’ sons and a housing colony named Qutub Colony has been constructed over its place right up to city police station and Pir Sabir Shah mausoleum.

My father, grand father lived in the Qutub Colony and whenever I visit the Qutub Colony, the air of the place seems me that I am complete.

Jahaz Ground

At the entrance of Tank City, there is a vast ground known as Jahaz Ground.

It named Jahaz Ground because during the rule of colonizers, there was a airport at that place but now it is ruined but when we cross it, it surface seems us that we are taking take off.

There is also a mystrery that once water started coming off from the surface of Jahaz Ground but due to negligence of concerned authorities, it blocked.

It is mentioning that Tank is facing lack of clean water since many years.

Dara Bayan

There is a fire mountain in Tank named Dara Bayan.

when we hit the suface of this peak, we feel balze are appearing.

Locals said this happens because there are so much gas reservoirs in this area.

Dara Bayan is therefore, called “The Fire Mountain of Pakistan” but it will be ended if the concerned authorities not pay attention to this.

Insha Allah when I visit these places again, I will also made a video story for my readers.
