Similarly, the price of a pill used to treat psychological disorders has risen from Rs2,800 to Rs3,150, while the price of milk cartons has risen by Rs1,000.
The distributors of medicines have also stated that the prices of medicines will rise by another 50%.
People in pharmacy stores have expressed concern about the skyrocketing prices of medicines, claiming that the prices were out of their reach.
They claimed that they were forced to pay exorbitant prices for medicines because they could live without petrol and electricity but not without medicines.
