PTI to disintegrate; Pakistan to stay safe: Maryam Nawaz

Umar Atta Bandial’s resignation

On Thursday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice President Maryam Nawaz predicted that PTI will burst and face a quick disintegration, expressing faith that the existing leadership of Pakistan would keep the nation safe and sound.

Lambasting Imran Khan’s comments concerning strategic assets and the dissolution of Pakistan, which came into existence, after enormous sacrifices by Muslims of the Sub-continent. “It is a repugnant assertion of Imran Khan that Pakistan, would be split into three pieces,” she stated at a press conference, and she questioned who he was working for.

She said that the comment was a slur on the sacrifices made by Muslims for Pakistan’s independence. Pakistan was protected by Allah Almighty, therefore no harm could come to the nation. Not Pakistan, but rather the PTI, will be broken up into three hundred pieces in the long run.

“Pakistan Zindabad and Pakistan Khappay” was the motto of political groups including the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the Pakistan People Party (PPP), and the Pakistan Awami Party, she claimed.

Ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan, Maryam Nawaz said, had a desire for power and was now using dirty methods to get back into the government. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said mainstream leaders have strived for greater national unity, not division, as a reflection of their character. Furthermore, she chastised Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan for his unfavourable statements on the country’s strategic programme reversal.

According to her, Imran Khan previously said that Pakistan did not require strategic capabilities in an interview with a foreign media source. Vice President Imran Khan of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) said that Imran has been making similar claims since his party made no contribution to Pakistan obtaining nuclear weapons. Both Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif were critical of Imran Khan for failing to properly honour those who serve in the Armed Forces.

While his mandate in 2018 was fraudulent, she added, Imran Khan misled everyone who put their trust in him and that the PTI chairman was angling hard to return to power. Imran Khan’s inexperience and faulty policies damaged the economy during his time in power, she said.

Students, young people, opinion makers, and experts were urged by the country’s prime minister to unite behind Pakistan in the face of the country’s current political turmoil. According to her, “You are not compelled to support the government or the PML-N, but you must stand with Pakistan.”

PTI’s predecessors used political victimisation and exploitation of governmental resources for political advantage, she argued, and did little to help ordinary citizens. She blamed all of Pakistan’s current issues on Imran Khan, saying he was the primary reason.

Maryam Nawaz responded to a question by saying that some PTI legislators had no plans to resign from the National Assembly and urging them to disassociate themselves from Imran Khan’s flawed ideas and politics.
