Case registered against GB CM Khalid Khurshid after PTI long march

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf In addition to the cases filed against Insaf leaders and activists for violating Section 144 and the MPO 16 following the party’s long march, another high-profile case was filed on Friday against the Gilgit-Baltistan chief minister with the Hassanabdal police.

An FIR was filed against GB Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid in Hassanabdal police station, according to details. According to the FIR, during the PTI long march, GB chief minister Khalid Khurshid’s security guards opened fire on the security officials stationed to stop the march.

The chief security officer of the CM was also arrested in the case.

According to the FIR, CM Khursheed and his security team continued to fire bullets and raise slogans.

“Yesterday, the convoy of Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan first encountered obstacles at Hassanaabdal, which were cleared by PTI workers led by Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan,” Khalid Khurshid said in a tweet on May 26.

On the other hand, the government has decided to take legal action against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan’s unconstitutional actions.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah stated that the KP chief minister abused his constitutional powers by launching an attack on the federation.

Sana described KP Chief Minister Mehmood Khan’s participation in the PTI’s Fitna (disruptive) march with his armed police officers as an attack on the federation.

The interior minister stated that the federal government had decided to take action against the KP CM and some of the province’s police officers under the Civil Establishment Code (Esta Code), and that he had sought legal advice in this regard from the law ministry.
