IHC urges police from harassing PTI workers

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday ordered the police and administration to stop harassing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers.

The court also served notices on the chief commissioner, deputy commissioner, and Inspector General of Police of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).

The case hearing has been rescheduled for May 27.

Earlier in the day, PTI central leader Fawad Chaudhry claimed in a tweet that 1,100 homes in Punjab were raided last night, with police entering the homes without warrants and insulting women and children.

He claimed that people were tortured and that over 400 workers, including women, were detained.
