While condemning the death of an innocent police constable as a result of the firing of PTI activists, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah dubbed Imran Khan a “terrorist,” lamenting that those who are accustomed to firing salvos of abusive language have now begun firing bullets.
The interior minister added in a statement on Tuesday that the bullet that hit constable Kamal Ahmad in the chest was “clear proof” that PTI Chief Imran Khan was a terrorist and a murderer.
He vowed to bring Kamal Ahmad’s killers to justice. “Imran Khan, Sheikh Rashid, and his followers who were heralding the ‘bloody march’ will be held accountable,” Sana warned PTI leaders.
He claimed that the shooting of police in Model Town demonstrated that the PTI was not interested in peaceful political activity, but rather in causing disruption.
“If the law was taken into hands,” the interior minister warned, “law will come into action and seek an answer.”
He claimed that the former premier, disguised as the Long March, was plotting to spark a civil war in the country.
“With the help of the law, we will put an end to the path of civil war, disruption, and violence in the country,” Sana added.
The minister announced the Shuhda package for the martyred cop, adding that the government would cover the costs of the deceased officer’s education and upkeep. He offered condolences to his family and prayed for his soul.
