NAB stops transfers, postings of officers

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has prohibited officer transfers and postings.

The recent transfer and posting orders have also been halted by NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal.

All NAB regional bureaus have also been directed to carry out the Supreme Court’s orders in this regard.

Previously, the Supreme Court issued a suo motu notice against “perceived interference” in institutions, prohibiting new appointments and transfers of officials involved in high-profile cases, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) cases, and special court cases.

The Supreme Court also barred the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from withdrawing high-profile cases from court.
