Taking into account how hot it is all over the country, the Punjab Education Department announced on Wednesday that summer break will start on June 1.
The education department says that this year, summer vacation will start on June 1. The department has told all school administrations to give students work to do over the summer by May 31.
The education department also told the schools that test results for grades 1 through 8 must be made public by May 31.
Summer vacation will last until July 31, and the new school year will start on August 1.
During the summer break, the new curriculum will be given to students in government schools.
The notice of summer break will be sent out next week.
