Russia has launched a sharp diplomatic offensive against recent strikes on Iran’s peaceful nuclear installations, warning that the international community must unite to oppose such actions before they spiral into a full-blown global crisis.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said the attacks on Iran’s nuclear sites, including the strategically vital Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, are highly dangerous and raise the spectre of large-scale radiation contamination with consequences reaching far beyond the Middle East.

Zakharova accused the unidentified attacking nations of intensifying the ongoing conflict in the Middle East while wilfully disregarding its serious and potentially catastrophic consequences. On March 27, Iran’s Khondab Heavy Water Complex and the Ardakan Uranium Plant were targeted in what appeared to be coordinated strikes.
