Maryam Nawaz to launch public compaign from Lahore today

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz will launch a public campaign from Lahore on Tuesday (today).

Maryam will begin visiting different areas of Lahore today, according to PML-N sources, and she will also meet with party workers at the office of PML-N leader Sheikh Rohail Asghar.

The PML-N has decided to hold public meetings after Eidul Fitr, which will be addressed by Maryam Nawaz, with the approval of party supremo Nawaz Sharif.

Meanwhile, Marriyum Aurangzeb, the Information Minister, responded to Fawad Chaudhry’s statement by saying that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan should answer the election commission’s questions about foreign funding.

“They [PTI leaders] hurl insults and threats at those who ask them questions.” “Imran Khan wants everyone to believe his lies and stop questioning his corruption,” she expressed regret.

“They [PTI leaders] want questions and answers of their choosing.” Imran Khan wants the match, umpire, and players of his choice, and for decisions to be made in his favor. “Imran Khan wants his own judge, lawyer, and verdict,” she snarled.

“Imran Khan does not believe in the Constitution or the rule of law; he considers himself to be the Constitution and the rule of law.” Imran sees himself as the court, the judge, and the police. If the court asks him a question, he insults it, accuses it, and talks about conspiracy,” she said.

“If the election commission asks him questions, he first runs away from them for eight years, then accuses the election commission and threatens to besiege it,” she slammed.

The information minister also chastised PTI chairman Imran Khan for shutting down TV channels and banning TV shows and columns from asking him questions.

She also chastised Imran Khan for imprisoning political opponents and violating the sanctity of the house and privacy by questioning him.

She accused the PTI chairman of using every institution and authority for political vengeance against political opponents, harping on his State of Madinah narrative.

“Despite your best efforts, you have not been able to prove any allegation against a single political opponent in four years.” You haven’t provided a single piece of evidence, but you’re constantly lying. “Such a person is known as a mental patient, and his or her residence is a mental asylum,” she explained.
