Iran Threatens to Seize Assets of Citizens Abroad Supporting US or Israel

Iranian authorities have announced that members of the Iranian diaspora who are found cooperating with the United States or Israel will face severe penalties, including the confiscation of their property.

The announcement was made by Iran’s judiciary on Monday, with the official Mizan Online website citing a statement from the prosecutor general’s office.

According to the statement, “Iranians abroad who align, accompany, or cooperate with the American-Zionist aggressor enemy will face confiscation of all their property and other legal penalties in accordance with the law.”

The measures are based on legislation passed after the 12-day conflict with Israel in June, during which the United States briefly participated in military strikes.

Iranian officials have framed the law as a deterrent against any collaboration with foreign adversaries, particularly amid heightened tensions with Washington and Tel Aviv.

No further details were provided regarding enforcement procedures or the criteria used to determine “cooperation” with US or Israeli entities.

The warning comes at a time of escalating US-Israel-Iran tensions, following recent airstrikes in Iran and Tehran’s continued retaliatory missile and drone attacks targeting regional allies and US military positions.
