Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said on Wednesday that Pakistan’s security forces have killed 481 fighters linked to the Afghan Taliban regime, destroyed 226 militant posts, and captured 35 operatives during Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq, launched in response to what he described as “unprovoked aggression” from across the border.
Providing an official update on the operation at 4:00 pm, the minister said that more than 696 Afghan operatives were also injured during the military campaign, which he referred to as “Righteous Fury”.
Tarar stated that Pakistan’s armed forces inflicted heavy material losses on militant positions, destroying 198 tanks, armoured vehicles, and artillery guns used by the opposing side.

He added that 56 strategic locations inside Afghanistan were effectively targeted through precision air operations, significantly degrading militant infrastructure and operational capability.
According to the minister, Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq was started after repeated hostile actions from across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, and its objective was to defend national sovereignty, secure border areas, and neutralize militant threats.
The government, he said, remains committed to protecting Pakistan’s territorial integrity and has conveyed that any future provocations will be met with a firm and decisive response.
Officials said further briefings would be held as the situation develops.
