Iranian defence forces have claimed to have shot down another US F-15 fighter jet, according to a report published on Wednesday by Tasnim News Agency.
Security sources told the news agency that the American warplane was struck by the Iranian Army’s Air Defence Unit during ongoing hostilities, resulting in the jet being brought down.
Earlier this week, Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters announced that three US fighter jets had been downed using domestically developed air defence systems.
Iranian authorities say multiple images and videos have since emerged showing damaged US aircraft and pilots ejecting before crashes.

According to Iranian officials, one of the incidents occurred on Monday morning when an American F-15 was shot down near the Iran–Kuwait border region.
The incident was later confirmed by the Kuwait Ministry of Defence, which acknowledged the crash within Kuwaiti territory.
Footage circulating on social media and published by several regional and international media outlets shows the fighter jet descending before crashing in the desert, with debris scattered across the impact site.
The reported downings come amid escalating military confrontation involving the United States, Iran, and Israel, with aerial engagements and missile exchanges intensifying across the Gulf region.
US officials have not yet publicly commented on Iran’s latest claim.
