Pakistan Cyber Force Hacks Indian ABP News in Retaliatory Strike, Shocks Viewers

Pakistan’s Cyber Force has reportedly carried out a retaliatory cyber operation against India, with pro-Pakistan slogans and military-related content briefly airing on an Indian television network, according to the reports on Monday.

The report claimed that Pakistan’s Cyber Force successfully hacked ABP News, one of India’s prominent news outlets. During the alleged breach, slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” were heard on air, while visuals and material linked to the Pakistan Army were broadcast on the channel.

According to the report, excerpts from a speech by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, were also aired during the incident, drawing significant attention on social media and regional news platforms.

The development follows claims that a Pakistani news channel was hacked a day earlier, allegedly by Israeli and Indian Research and Analysis Wing operatives, during which anti-Pakistan content was broadcast. Pakistani media framed the latest incident as a direct response to that earlier cyber intrusion.

Neither Indian authorities nor ABP News has officially confirmed the breach at the time of reporting. However, the incident has reignited debate over cyber warfare, information security, and the growing use of digital platforms as tools in regional conflicts.

As cyber tensions between Pakistan and India continue to surface alongside geopolitical strains, analysts warn that media networks and digital infrastructure are increasingly becoming frontline targets in information and psychological warfare.
