How Much Money Do Pakistani Travelers Need for a 90‑Day Sweden Visa?

Pakistanis who are planning a short-term stay in Sweden must show enough funds when applying for a Schengen visa.

The requirement ensures that visitors can cover expenses during their 90-day trip without financial issues.

Applicants must submit a recent, valid bank statement along with their visa application. This document proves financial stability and indicates that the applicant is a genuine visitor who will not overstay in Sweden.

The statement should show transactions over the last six months and must be signed and stamped by the bank.

Minimum bank balance for 90-day stay

For a tourist visa to Sweden, the daily recommended amount is 80 Euros to cover living expenses. For a 90-day stay, applicants need to demonstrate access to 7,200 Euros.

As of 2 December 2025, 1 Euro equals Rs324.5, meaning Pakistani applicants must have roughly Rs2.3 million in their bank account at the time of application.

Sweden as a travel destination

Sweden attracts tourists worldwide with its historical landmarks, scenic landscapes, and rich cultural heritage. While citizens of some countries can enter without a visa, most Pakistani travelers must apply for a Schengen visa via the Swedish Embassy in Pakistan.

The embassy also processes applications for Afghan nationals and foreign residents living in Pakistan.
