The Punjab government has issued a notification announcing an increase in the allowances for Civil Defence volunteers.
The new rates will come into effect from September 1, 2025.
According to the notification, full-time Civil Defence volunteers will now receive a monthly stipend of Rs50,000.
The daily allowance for volunteers working full-time will be Rs1,923. For part-time volunteers, the daily compensation has been set at Rs960.

This increase follows a decision made by the provincial cabinet, which was approved by the Department of Home Punjab.
The revised allowance structure aims to better support the dedicated volunteers who play a crucial role in maintaining public safety and emergency response in the province.
The announcement of the new allowances is expected to further motivate volunteers and enhance the overall effectiveness of the Civil Defence program in Punjab.
