The Chinese Embassy in Pakistan shared the good news that a contract for the Pakistan Nabisar Vajihar Water Supply Project had been signed for water provision in the Thar under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
After completion in 2024, the project will supply 28 MGD of water to Thar’s Thermal Project, which is part of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in Sindh Province.
“Chinese companies contribute to Pakistan’s social and economic development,” the Chinese Embassy tweeted.
In his inaugural speech on the House floor, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vowed to take the CPEC to new heights and to complete the project—a symbol of friendship and brotherhood between China and Pakistan.
Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed stated on Sunday that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will push the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) forward with renewed vigour and vitality, ensuring the project’s multifaceted development (BRI).
“On his first day in office as Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif met with China’s Acting Ambassador and informed her that Pakistan regards China as its closest friend and strongest partner and that we will move the CPEC forward with renewed vigour, vitality, and vigour,” he said while discussing the future of Pakistan-China relations and future cross-border collaboration with Wang Guan in the CGTN programme, The Hub.
