Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed Monday’s meeting with Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Jahanzeb Khan to expedite the completion of public welfare projects.
The deputy chairman of the Planning Commission informed the prime minister of various development projects that have been delayed for a variety of reasons.
The prime minister directed that all those projects be completed as soon as possible, adding that the Planning Commission should be more active.
“The economic growth of the country will be ensured through the formulation of concrete policies guided by a comprehensive plan,” the prime minister pledged.
“Federal ministries and divisions must ensure mutual cooperation,” the prime minister directed, adding that public welfare projects would no longer be subject to criminal negligence or indifference.
“The journey of development has begun from the point at which it previously came to a halt. “Not a single rupee of the country or nation will be squandered,” he vowed.
