The Punjab Home Department has cancelled the licences of 28 arms dealers during action against illegal weapons.
According to details that surfaced on Thursday, the department said that the shops of fake dealers have been sealed and legal proceedings have begun.
In Punjab, 511 arms dealers submitted applications for licence verification.
After complete scrutiny, licences of 393 dealers were confirmed and green certificates were issued.
The department said that scrutiny of documents of 90 arms dealers is underway.
