The Federal Investigation Agency has placed the names of former special assistant to the prime minister on accountability and interior Shahzad Akbar and ex-SAPM on political communication, Dr. Shehbaz Gill, on the No Fly List.
Shehzad Akbar, the former accountability czar, vigorously pursued corruption cases against the Sharif family but failed to prove anything in the accountability court.
Aside from these former special assistants to the Prime Minister, the border agency also placed the names of Punjab Anti-Corruption DG Gohar Nafees and former prime minister’s principal secretary Azam Khan on the No Fly List.
The names of Punjab (Zone II) FIA DG Muhammad Rizwan and PTI social media head Arsalan Khalid were also added to the stop list.
In a late-night tweet, PML-N leader and lawyer Attaullah Tarar said, “Shahbaz Gill, Shehzad Akbar, Azam Khan, and Dr. Rizwan have been added to the no-fly list.” I’m unable to leave the country. I’ve been talking for how long?
