PM Imran vows to begin ‘freedom struggle against foreign conspiracy’

Imran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and a former prime minister, promised on Sunday to start the process “In Pakistan, there is a freedom struggle against a “international conspiracy” to overthrow the government.

On Sunday, he posted on his official Twitter account, “Pakistan became an independent state in 1947; however the liberation struggle begins afresh today against a foreign conspiracy of regime change.” “The people of the country are always the ones that protect its sovereignty and democracy,” he added.

The former prime leader’s comments come a day after he was ousted from power by a vote of no-confidence, becoming the country’s first prime minister to be deposed by a parliamentary revolt.

The unified opposition’s no-confidence resolution received 174 votes in the 342-member parliament, shaking the political earth of the country with an unprecedented removal of the prime minister and seemingly putting an end to the protracted turmoil.

The party president also chaired a CEC meeting earlier in the day, according to PTI’s official Twitter handle.

Another tweet stated that a peaceful protest would be conducted tonight in all cities, including Lahore, Sialkot, Sahiwal, Karachi, and Rawalpindi.

“Today, peaceful protests will be held across the country. Imran Khan has the support of the entire country “During a press conference, former energy minister Hammad Azhar stated.

During his final address to the country as Prime Minister on Friday, Imran Khan also discussed his future plans. Imran swore in his televised message on Sunday night that he would not sit idly by and would continue his campaign against foreign involvement in Pakistan’s domestic affairs, urging the masses to come out against the “imported government.”

He was trying to turn the tables “at the last minute” even at the time.

He continually urged the public to consider whether they wanted to live on someone else’s terms. If yes, what was the point of celebrating Pakistan Day on March 23 and Independence Day on August 14 every year, he wondered?

Imran emphasised in his speech that the people of Pakistan must select what kind of Pakistan they want to live in. He also stated that it is the people, not the army, who must safeguard the country’s democracy and sovereignty.

While urging people to support him, he stated that Pakistan should not be considered as a tissue paper-like nation. He made it clear that a one-sided relationship would no longer work.
