“Organisations have their limits. Sometimes you must work independently for the causes you truly believe in,” the former senator stated.
‘Will fight for democracy, free media, and human rights’
Mushtaq Ahmed emphasised that his focus will now be on defending the rights of marginalised communities, journalists, and victims of injustice.
“I want to openly fight for human rights, democracy, and a free media,” he said, pledging to advocate for issues that have long remained unaddressed.
He specifically mentioned his intent to campaign for the constitutional rights of Dr Aafia Siddiqui, the people of Palestine, and Pakistan’s federating units.
