Punjab government releases Rs2bn for CCD vehicles and offices.
The Punjab government on Thursday released Rs2 billion to the Counter Terrorism Department (CCD) in order to buy modern vehicles and fund the construction of offices and police stations across sensitive districts.
According to officials, the first phase of funding will cover the purchase of bulletproof and double-cabin vehicles, armoured carriers, and high-roof vans for use in sensitive districts.
In the next phase, similar vehicles will be provided to “B category” districts, with additional budget allocations expected.

CCD offices and police station construction
Alongside vehicle procurement, the survey process has begun for the construction of CCD offices and police stations.
Sources said reports are being compiled for new buildings in cities including Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, and Multan.
CCD has demanded 40 offices, 38 police stations, and six residential buildings. Police sources estimate the construction cost at around Rs11 billion.
