Will last solar eclipse of 2025 be visible in Pakistan?
The last solar eclipse of this year will take place tomorrow (Sunday), but skywatchers in Pakistan will not be able to witness it due to nightfall.
According to the Meteorological Department’s Climate Data Processing Centre, the eclipse will begin at 10:39pm Pakistan time, peak at 12:41am, and primarily affect the southern hemisphere.
Only 16.6 million people will witness
The September eclipse will cast its shadow over regions with low human populations. As a result, only around 16.6 million people in countries like Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji will have the chance to witness the celestial event with their own eyes.
Eclipse timing for Pakistan
Although it will not be visible in Pakistan, the official timings are as follows:
- Start: September 21 at 10:30pm
- Peak: September 22 at 12:42am
- End: September 22 at 2:54am
These timings indicate the full duration of the partial solar eclipse.
Where eclipse will be visible
The event will be visible in parts of the Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Antarctica, and Australia. Observers in these regions will experience the phenomenon, while countries like Pakistan will have to rely on global coverage to watch the event online.
