The Punjab Government has launched the CM Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship 2025 to help bright students from financially challenged households pursue higher education.
Open to students across Pakistan, the program covers 100% of tuition fees at public sector universities and colleges.
CM Honhaar Scholarship 2025 overview
The CM Honhaar Scholarship, managed by the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), is designed to empower academically meritorious students who face financial difficulties.
The initiative covers undergraduate students from Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Both new admissions and current students in various semesters are eligible for the scholarship.
The program supports studies in engineering, medical sciences, IT, and social sciences, with the aim of fostering talent and reducing financial barriers to higher education.
Eligibility criteria
To apply for the scholarship, students must meet the following requirements:
Domicile: Primarily Punjab, though students from other provinces enrolled in selected institutions are eligible.
Family Income: Monthly household income must be less than Rs. 300,000.
Academic Merit: Minimum 60% marks in annual exams or required CGPA.
Enrollment: Must be enrolled in a public sector university or college. Medical students (MBBS/BDS) from 2nd to 5th year, and other disciplines from 3rd to 8th semester are eligible.
No Other Scholarship: Applicants cannot already be receiving other merit- or need-based scholarships.
Financial Need Affidavit: A signed affidavit proving financial need is mandatory.
Students eligible for BISP Taleemi Wazaif can also benefit from this initiative.
