All banks, including the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), will be closed Monday (today).
According to a statement released by the central bank, the SBP will be closed to public dealing on Monday (April 4, 2022), “which shall be observed as a Bank Holiday for the purpose of calculating Zakat.”
Additionally, it stated that all banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), and microfinance banks (MFBs) would be closed to the public on the aforementioned date.
“However, all employees of banks, DFIs, and MFBs will report to work on Bank Holiday (except for public dealing),” the statement read.
