Over 367000 applications received for Punjab’s ‘Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar’ Scheme.
The number of applicants for Punjab’s ‘Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar’ housing scheme has exceeded 367,000, according to provincial authorities.
The project aims to provide land ownership to low- and middle-income families in 19 districts of the province.
Initial screening of all applications is underway, and free plots will be allotted through balloting.
In the first phase, the Punjab chief minister will distribute plots to 2,000 middle-income families, Punjab Housing Minister Bilal Yasin said.

The program also offers interest-free loans of up to Rs 1.5 million under the ‘Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar’ initiative.
Distribution details include 730 plots in Jhelum, 388 in Kasur, 257 in Faisalabad, 218 in Lodhran, and 130 in Okara.
Other allocations are 55 in Layyah, 52 in Bhakkar, 33 in Sahiwal, 25 in Sargodha, 24 in Khushab, 20 in Bahawalnagar, and 15 in Rajanpur.
In addition, 17 plots will be given in Mandi Bahauddin, 11 in Attock, 8 in Gujrat, 7 in Bahawalpur, 4 each in Vehari and Jhang, and 2 in Chiniot to deserving homeless families.
