Good news for Pakistanis applying for German visas.
The Consulate General of Germany in Karachi has restarted full operations for non-EU citizens, days after unexpectedly halting services on July 28.
In a statement issued Monday, the consulate confirmed that all consular and visa services for non-European Union nationals are now fully functional and operating as normal.
“The Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Karachi, has resumed normal operations for non-EU citizens,” the statement read.

The temporary suspension, which took effect on June 28, led to the indefinite cancellation of all confirmed visa appointments for non-EU applicants.
At the time, the consulate cited no official reason for the decision and instructed affected individuals to re-register through the online appointment system.
With the resumption of services, applicants can now proceed with visa applications, documentation requests, and other related matters.
The consulate also acknowledged the inconvenience caused and thanked the public for their understanding during the disruption.
While operations are now back to normal, the brief pause in services raised concerns among applicants and travel agents, many of whom had upcoming travel plans or urgent applications.
