KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran Khan is due to visit a team of the MQM-P today (Saturday), according to Geo News, citing party sources, as part of his continuous efforts to appease his allies and assure their support against the no-confidence resolution.
The premier had requested a meeting with the MQM-P delegation on Friday, but the party’s top echelon was in Karachi, thus the meeting was postponed till today, according to sources.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Aamir Khan, Wasim Akhtar, and Khawaja Izhar would also travel for Islamabad today at 4 p.m., according to them.

A PTI delegation led by federal ministers Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, and Pervez Khattak met with MQM-P ministers in Islamabad on Friday to discuss the country’s recent political developments.
Deal between PPP and MQM
According to sources familiar with the situation, the MQM-P and PPP are working on a draught for provincial concerns, while a joint document with the PML-N is being created for federal issues.
A number of talks between the top leaders of the two parties have taken place to discuss a possible deal, and the PPP believes they are close to forging an agreement with the MQM-P.
Qureshi will meet with the PML-Q
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had phoned another key ally of the ruling party, the PML-Q, the day before and requested a meeting.
Qureshi and Defence Minister Pervez Khattak are expected to meet Pervaiz Elahi at his Lahore mansion today (Saturday) at 2 p.m., according to party sources.
According to Pakistani reports, he will deliver a crucial message from Prime Minister Imran Khan to the Chaudhry brothers.

In Islamabad, a team of key PTI leaders met with the MQM-P leadership.
After PM Imran Khan learned of the allies’ decision to join the opposition camp during a party meeting, he dispatched senior PTI leaders to meet with the heads of ally parties and promise them that their concerns would be handled.
