The GPO Chowk Underpass is part of a signal-free corridor on Mall Road. It features an intelligent traffic signal system and a pedestrian underpass near AFIC.
The project is expected to ease movement for patients visiting CMH, MH, and AFIC hospitals while also improving access to Sadar Bazaar and the railway station.
Officials estimate around 300,000 vehicles will use the flyover and underpass daily.
