China announces visa-free entry for 74 countries.

China has expanded its visa-free entry policy, now allowing citizens from 74 countries to visit for up to 30 days without a visa.

The new policy has already led to a surge in foreign visitors, with over 20 million people entering China visa-free in 2024—more than double the previous year.

The list of eligible countries now covers much of Europe, several in Latin America, parts of Asia, and Oceania.

Recent additions include countries such as France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, and several Middle Eastern nations. The policy will expand to 75 countries on July 16, 2025, with the inclusion of Azerbaijan.

Is Pakistan on the List?

Despite China’s close economic and diplomatic ties, Pakistan is not among the countries whose citizens can enter China visa-free.

Many African and South Asian countries are also ineligible for visa-free entry.
