Saudi Arabia denounces Israeli aggression against Iran.

Saudi Arabia has strongly denounced the Israeli airstrikes on Tehran that killed several high-ranking Iranian military officials and nuclear scientists, calling the attacks a “blatant violation” of international law and a threat to regional security.

In a statement issued by the Kingdom’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saudi Arabia expressed “strong condemnation and denunciation of the blatant Israeli aggressions against the brotherly Islamic Republic of Iran, which undermine its sovereignty and security and constitute a clear violation of international laws and norms.”

The Kingdom also called on the United Nations Security Council and the broader international community to take immediate steps to halt the aggression, warning of its potential to further destabilize an already volatile region.

“The international community and the Security Council bear a great responsibility to immediately halt this aggression,” the statement added.

The condemnation from Riyadh comes just hours after Israeli fighter jets launched a series of deadly airstrikes on the Iranian capital. The attacks resulted in the assassination of Iran’s top military commander, Major General Mohammad Bagheri; IRGC Chief Hossein Salami, and two prominent nuclear scientists — Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Tehranchi and Dr. Fereydoon Abbasi.

US President Donald Trump has admitted he was aware of the impending strike beforehand, though he denied any American involvement.

Iranian authorities, however, maintain that such a large-scale and targeted assault could not have occurred without Washington’s coordination, holding the U.S. equally responsible for its “support” of Israeli actions.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry, invoking the UN Charter, asserted its “legal and legitimate” right to respond and warned that the consequences of the aggression would fall on Israel and its allies.

With tensions escalating rapidly, Trump confirmed that the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) is on high alert in anticipation of a possible Iranian response and reaffirmed U.S. support for Israel’s security.

Saudi Arabia’s reaction is seen as a significant regional development, as the Kingdom has in recent years engaged in backchannel discussions with both Israel and Iran in efforts to reduce tensions in the Gulf.
