PMDC releases new syllabus of MDCAT.

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) on Thursday uploaded a new syllabus of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT), 2025 on its website.

The MDCAT is expected either in the last week of September or the first week of October this year.

Five subjects, including English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, have been included in the syllabus, while the paper will be of a three-hour duration and there will be 180 MCQs in it.

There will be no negative marking of the paper, while the paper will consist entirely of MCQs.

For admission to a medical college, a candidate will have to obtain 55 per cent marks, while 50 per cent for admission to a medical college.

The new syllabus has been made in collaboration with educationists, different boards and universities.

The PMDC president has expressed the hope that the syllabus will promote merit and transparency.

He asked the candidates to log onto the PMDC website for updates.
