Google Wallet has finally been launched in Pakistan, making life easier by ending the need for physical cash and offering a seamless, secure, and fast way to make payments.
With this launch, users in a country of 242 million can now store payment cards, loyalty cards, and boarding passes on their phones, making transactions faster and more efficient.
From shopping online to making in-store purchases, this will be the easiest option to make payments.
Google Wallet also enables users to store important travel documents such as boarding passes and tickets securely on their mobile devices.

In the first phase, consumers of Bank of Punjab, Bank AlFalah, Faysal Bank, HBL, JazzCash, Meezan Bank, and UBL can set up their accounts.

Several brands and companies like Karachi Electric (KE) will soon be offering payments with this app to allow users to complete purchases effortlessly using Google Pay.
It will also help keep boarding passes from airlines, with the option to add tickets from popular travel platforms, ensuring travellers receive real-time updates and notifications about flight schedules and check-in details.
Guide to Set Up Google Wallet:
- Open the Google Play Store on your Android device, search for Google Wallet and tap Install.
- Once installed, open the Google Wallet app and go to Set Up Your Wallet
- Follow the on-screen setup instructions.
- If you’re new, you’ll be asked to add a payment card (scan your card or enter details manually).
- Set Up Security, and you may need to enable a screen lock on your Android device for extra security.
- Enable Contactless Payments, Make sure your phone supports NFC and has it enabled.
- Set Google Pay as your default payment app for easy contactless payments.
