A new turn in the Mustafa Amir case, as a murder weapon was recovered from the accused Armaghan’s residence.
The Sindh Police investigation team has found the weapon used in the crime from the prime suspect’s house.
The weapon was concealed inside the security guard’s room, according to sources.
The Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) team visited the suspect’s house yesterday, taking several items based on his indications.
These items will be sent to the laboratory for forensic examination.
Authorities are also retrieving CCTV footage from the suspect’s residence, but efforts to unlock mobile data have so far been unsuccessful.
Meanwhile, Mustafa Amir’s body will undergo exhumation to collect biological samples.
The cause of death will be determined once the forensic reports are received.
Who was Mustafa Amir?
Amir, a 23-year-old, was kidnapped and allegedly murdered by his friends in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on January 6.
According to the police, the youth’s friends stuffed his body in the trunk of his car and torched it in the Hub area of Balochistan.
DNA reports provided to the police confirm that the blood samples found at Armagan’s house are a match with those taken from Mustafa’s mother.
