Governor rule in the province would not be tolerated, says Murad Ali Shah.
Syed Murad Ali Shah, the Chief Minister of Sindh, warned the federal government on Thursday against imposing the governor’s rule in his province, warning that any unconstitutional step would be met with retaliation from the people.
“Let me categorically state that any unconstitutional move by the federal government to impose the governor’s rule in Sindh will provoke an unprecedented retaliation from the people of Sindh,” Shah wrote on Twitter.
Following the alleged horse-trading issue, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed stated he had advised the government to enforce the governor’s rule in Sindh.
Earlier in the day, Raja Riaz and Malik Nawab Sher Waseer, two unhappy PTI MNAs, alleged that over 24 MNAs had “sought sanctuary at the Sindh House, afraid that the government will take action against them.”
The Interior Ministry, on the other hand, is preparing a summary in light of the law and order situation in Sindh, according to sources.
Under the chairmanship of Rasheed, a conference has been convened to assess the current situation in Sindh. Following that, a report will be delivered to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
