BISP Kafaalat new payment 13500 from January 2025.

Good news for the beneficiaries of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) as they are all set to see an increase of Rs3,000 in their quarterly payment, starting from January 2025 in Pakistan, under the BISP Kafaalat initiative.

At present, the registered families are withdrawing Rs10,500 per quarter. However, the amount will be increased to Rs13,500 per quarter from Jan 2025.

BISP Kafaalat, which was launched in 2008, has emerged as the largest single cash transfer program in Pakistan’s history. It has both short- and long-term objectives.

The immediate goal of the initiative is to protect poor people from the negative effects of higher inflation, food crises, and poor economic growth.

The long-term objectives of the program are to eradicate extreme and chronic poverty, along with women’s empowerment, as set out in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

BISP Kafaalat PMT Score for Registration

Beneficiaries are selected through the scientific mode of the Proxy Means Test (PMT) through the National Socio Economic Registry (NSER) survey for the BISP Kafaalat programme.

As per the official website, the welfare status of a household is determined on a scale between 0-100 of the PMT.

The PMT cut-off score for eligibility is decided by the BISP Board on the basis of available fiscal space.

All families falling within the approved PMT cut-off score are being provided cash assistance under the Benazir Kafaalat Programme.

The current PMT cut-off score of 32 was approved by the BISP Board in its 52nd meeting held on 23rd September, 2021.

However, for families with a differently abled person, the PMT cut-off score is set at 37 for eligibility.

The government has announced it will increase the per-quarter amount to Rs13,500 from January 2025 for all registered families in order to provide relief to them amid inflation.

BISP Kafaalat Bank Lists

Earlier, the cash assistance was provided to the eligible citizens through the Habib Bank Limited (HBL).

Citizens had to wait for hours to withdraw the payment due to long queues.

Keeping in view the situation, the government has expanded the list of banks so citizens can withdraw the amount without waiting for hours.

  1. Bank Al Falah
  2. Bank of Punjab
  3. Mobilink Microfinance/Jazzcash
  4. Telenor Microfinance Bank
  5. Habib Bank Limited
  6. HBL Microfinance
