PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and PDM Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman would have another round of talks with the leaders of the government’s ally – MQM today (Wednesday) to get their support for the success of the no-confidence motion against the government.
According to sources, a high-level opposition team led by Shehbaz, Maulana Fazl, and others would meet the MQM leadership today in Parliament Lodges in Islamabad. They’d like MQM’s backing for the no-confidence motion against the prime minister.
In honor of the opposition leader, the MQM will organize a supper.
The Muttahida invited opposition leaders to meet with them today in Parliament Lodges, which they accepted on Tuesday.
In the meantime, JUI Chief Maulana Fazl has summoned all members of his party’s National Assembly to his home today.
Maulana Fazl, the president of the PDM, a coalition of nine opposition parties, has summoned all of his alliance’s MNAs to his apartment in the evening tonight.
The huddle will be presided over by the Maulana and JUI Parliamentary Leader Maulana Asad Mehmood. The MNAs will be honored with a banquet hosted by Maulana Fazl.
The no-confidence motion will be discussed at the meeting. They’ll also discuss the PDM rally in Islamabad, which has been planned for March 25 rather than March 23.
Due to the OIC Foreign Ministers’ meeting in the federal capital on March 23 and the Pakistan Day parade, the PDM chief changed the date of the rally on the advice of PML-Q leader Ch Shujaat Hussain.
The Maulana stated that international visitors attending the OIC meeting in Islamabad were highly respected and that the opposition would not obstruct their visit to Pakistan.
He stated that while the long march will begin on March 23 in far-flung regions, the marchers will finally arrive in Islamabad on March 25, where they will spend the next few days.
