Imran Khan has destroyed his political reputation, says Shahbaz

ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif lashed out at Prime Minister Imran Khan again on Monday, saying that his address the day before — directed at European Union envoys as well as the Opposition — proves that he is “shaken” by the country’s present tumult.

Shahbaz stated that the people of Pakistan have sought a no-confidence resolution to remove the PTI-led government.

The Opposition leader further stated that no amount of “foul language” from Prime Minister Imran Khan will be enough to derail the no-confidence motion.

“While Prime Minister Imran Khan has tarnished his political reputation, he should not destroy Pakistan’s image in the eyes of the world,” the PML-N leader remarked.

Maryam Nawaz mocks the Prime Minister’s speech

In response to the premier’s speech, PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz said, “Imran Khan has not only cursed and threatened the Opposition, but he has done the same to other countries as well.”

Maryam said on Twitter that the prime minister “does not have the authority to put Pakistan at a disadvantage due to his political disputes.”

“Shut him in a room, or else if a monkey gets a hold of a matchstick, there will be a threat of fire!” she humorously wrote, implying that the no-confidence motion is necessary to remove Prime Minister Imran Khan from office.
