KARACHI: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari claimed on Sunday that Sindh and Pakistan cannot advance unless the existing PTI-led government is in power.
The politician made the remarks during a rally in Mazar-e-Quaid prior to the start of the PPP’s lengthy march.
After a brief speech by Bilawal, the party began the anti-government long march today.
The PPP leader began his rally speech with the motto “Go Selected.”
Earlier, Bilawal hailed Karachi residents for turning out in large numbers to “wage war” against the incumbent administration in response to the party’s appeal.
He went on to remark that the existing government’s three years in power had prompted Karachi’s citizens to protest.
“The ineligible and incompetent prime minister has plundering Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s rights,” Bilawal stated.
‘Selected personnel must depart immediately.’
The PPP leader accused Prime Minister Imran Khan of breaking people’s right to vote once more, calling him “chosen.”
“It’s been three years since we last saw one other. The chosen [PM] must depart immediately “he stated
He claimed that the PPP will use people’s power to send the “chosen government” packing.
Bilawal went on to say that the party has turned to the streets to fight for Pakistanis’ rights, and he invited more people to join the long march in Islamabad to assist them to depose the “puppet administration.”
According to the PPP chairman, whenever people have gotten their rights, it has been under the PPP’s control.
The PPP, he claimed, gave the provinces their rights through the 18th amendment.
After Bilawal finished his brief speech, the participants and leaders gathered at Numaish Chowrangi formed a convoy and began the long march.
The long march, led by the PPP leader, will begin in Karachi and would take ten days to reach the capital, going through 34 cities.

The PPP has announced its extended march itinerary
The party has announced a long march to protest inflation, price hikes in petroleum items, and other policies pursued by Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government.
Plan for traffic
With the start of Bilawal’s lengthy march approaching, Karachi traffic police have devised an alternate traffic strategy to keep traffic flowing in the city despite the closure of some highways.
According to the traffic police, the route running from Gurumandir to Numaish Chowrangi, the march’s starting point, will be closed to traffic, thus commuters should use the road leading to Soldier Bazaar from Gurumandir and the Jamshed Road flyover to reach the Jail Road flyover.
Furthermore, the road from Society Chowrangi to the starting location will be closed to the general public. They can, however, take the road from Society Chowrangi to Jail Chowrangi.
The road going to New M.A Jinnah Corridor 3 from Regal Chowrangi will also be blocked to the general public, thus those traveling from Saddar Dawakhana should take the road to Shahrah-e-Faisal through Lucky Star.
In the meantime, traffic from University Road will be directed to Shaheed-e-Millat Road in Jail Chowrangi, and traffic from Jamshed Road will be diverted to Soldier Bazaar.
PPP is willing to sacrifice the PM’s seat for the PML-N, according to Bilawal.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari stated on Saturday that if the opposition is able to depose the present government, his party will support the PML-choice N’s for prime minister.
In a press conference in the port city with party leaders, Bilawal claimed that in a democracy, anyone with a majority may choose the next prime minister.
“The PML-N has a clear majority; the PPP and other Opposition parties are willing to sacrifice the prime minister’s seat for them,” the PPP chairman stated, emphasizing that the largest stakeholder should name a candidate for the position.
“We’re not going to make the same mistakes we’ve made in the past,” he added.
The PPP is planning a “democratic offensive” against the government.
Bilawal said his party has chosen to begin a “democratic attack” against the government, and he asked the other Opposition parties to take a united stand in opposition to the incumbent PTI-led government.
To achieve the goal of deposing the administration, the PPP chairman ruled out using undemocratic measures.
Bilawal also urged PTI’s allies, particularly the MQM-P, to join the anti-government demonstration, as the PPP prepares to launch its “Awami march” from Karachi to Islamabad tomorrow.
“However, if Prime Minister Imran Khan decides to quit willingly, the long march will be unnecessary,” Bilawal explained.
PPP is unaffected by a group of “political orphans.”
Bilawal commented on the PTI’s Sindh Huqooq March, saying that while the PTI leaders claim to be fighting for the rights of the people of the province and thus began their march from Ghotki, they are the ones who did not provide the farmers their fair share of urea.
He stated, “The people of Sindh will reply properly.”
He described the march as a “political circus,” adding that the PPP is unaffected by “a gang of political orphans” gathered in Sindh.
