Pakistan won’t issue passports to citizens getting asylum.
Pakistan has announced that it will no longer issue passports to its citizens who seek asylum in foreign countries, as reported by The Asian Mirror on Tuesday.
According to a directive from the Ministry of Interior, Pakistani citizens who obtain asylum abroad, for any reason, will be denied the issuance of new passports.
This policy shift is attributed to concerns over national security, according to unnamed sources.
