The Pakistan People’s Party will begin its long march tomorrow, led by party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
The march will begin on February 27 in Karachi and end on March 8 in Islamabad. Bilawal will stay with the marchers for the duration of the event, sleeping in a container.
The PPP chairman will hold a press conference at 3 p.m. today to inform the media about this.
Aslam Gul, the president of the Pakistan Peoples Party in Lahore, has written to the administration about security measures for the parade. He urged that the authorities allow the party to display banners and party flags along the lengthy march’s route. He asked that traffic be diverted around the time of the demonstrators’ arrival in the city.
On March 5, the PPP procession will arrive in Lahore. The marchers will spend the night in Bahria Town. After staging a demonstration in Nasir Bagh, they will travel to Islamabad.
