COVID-19 positive rate drops to 2.75 percent

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) data showed a significant reduction in Coronavirus infections in Pakistan on Saturday morning, from 105,675 cases recorded on February 1 to 37, 212 instances reported on February 26 (today).

Pakistan’s COVID-19 positive rate has dropped to 2.75 percent as a result of the daily case count.

However, 14 additional people died as a result of the deadly virus, bringing the total number of deaths to 30,153 since the epidemic began.

According to today’s statistics, the national COVID-19 body detected 1,207 new illnesses in the last 24 hours while conducting 53,625 diagnostic tests across the country. The latest cases brought Pakistan’s total number of cases to 1,507,657.

Furthermore, 25,313 persons were able to recover from the virus, with 1117 COVID-19 patients being admitted to the critical care unit in the last 24 hours.

In three cities, the NCOC has lifted COVID-19 limitations.

After seeing a downward trend in coronavirus positivity rates across the country, the NCOC on Tuesday lifted some of the country’s general restrictions, regardless of city-by-city coronavirus positivity rates.

Furthermore, the forum resolved to remove Karachi, Hyderabad, and Peshawar from the list of cities/districts where limits had previously been imposed.

Last Monday, the forum released a list of six cities/districts where the COVID-19 positive was greater than 10%, stating that the existing limits would be maintained.

Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, and Mardan are the cities/districts where COVID-19 positive is still above 10%.
