Authorities cut off gas supply to CNG stations in Karachi

On Friday, the authorities cut off the gas supply to CNG stations in Karachi for three days.

According to Sui Southern Gas officials, the gas supply to CNG stations will be shut off for 72 hours, commencing at 8 a.m. on Friday and ending at 8 a.m. on Monday.

The decision to cease gas supply to the CNG sector was made due to low pressure, according to a statement from Sui Southern Gas. According to the firm, supply to the CNG sector has been suspended under the load management strategy in order to increase gas supply to residential consumers.

Shoaib Khanji, Senior Vice-President of the CNG Association, described the gas supply halt as “cruel.” He went on to say that the government should take efforts to either restore the CNG sector or shut it down altogether and repay the deposit money.
