Pakistan’s cement exports increase by 35.92%.
Pakistan’s cement industry has experienced a remarkable upswing in exports, recording a 35.92% increase during the first ten months of the financial year 2023-24 compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
From July 2023 to April 2024, the country’s cement exports reached USD 204.546 million, significantly higher than the USD 150.488 million recorded in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
The growth is even more pronounced in terms of volume.
The exported quantity of cement surged by 63.51%, climbing from 3,242,161 metric tons in the first ten months of FY 2022-23 to 5,301,161 metric tons in the same period of FY 2023-24.
April 2024 was a particularly strong month for cement exports, which saw a year-on-year increase of 66.61%.
In April 2024, exports were valued at USD 25.074 million, up from USD 15.049 million in April 2023.

Month-on-month data also reflected substantial growth, with April 2024 exports rising by 61.02% from USD 15.572 million in March 2024.
This significant uptick in cement exports highlights the growing demand for Pakistani cement in international markets and reflects the industry’s robust performance amid global economic fluctuations.
