The Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), a subsidiary of Pakistan’s Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, is set to deploy approximately 100 female nurses to a healthcare firm in Malaysia.

This initiative comes in response to the rising demand for skilled nursing staff in Malaysian hospitals, driven by the high standards and expertise of health professionals already working there.

An official disclosed that the OEC has opened applications for these positions, seeking candidates with specific qualifications and experience.

The roles are primarily for Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurses. Applicants must possess a diploma in nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or a Post-RN qualification from a recognized institution.

Additionally, they must be registered with the Nursing Council and have at least three years of relevant hospital experience.

Preference will be given to those with specialized training in Operating Theatre (OT), ICU, and pediatric care.

The age limit for applicants is 45 years.

The selected nurses will receive a monthly salary ranging from RM3,000 to RM4,500.

Besides the basic salary, they will be entitled to several allowances, including:

  • RM1,100 for specialized roles
  • RM700 as a general nursing allowance
  • RM400 as a degree allowance
  • RM800 for post-basic qualifications

The employment contract stipulates an annual salary review in March, based on individual performance and market standards, with any increments retroactive to January.

Additionally, employees will receive a one-month bonus for each year of service, payable upon the completion of a two-year contract.
